Funeral arrangements for Nigerian billionaire and philanthropist Alhaji Aminu Dantata have been finalised, with his burial scheduled for Tuesday in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
Dantata died on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. His son, Sanusi Dantata, confirmed the body arrived in Madinah early Tuesday.
A prayer will be held at the Prophet’s Mosque after Asr (around 1:30pm Nigerian time), followed by burial at the historic Baqiyya cemetery.

Regulatory procedures delayed the burial by a day, according to Nigeria’s Information Minister, Mohammed Idris.
Delegations from both federal and state governments are in Saudi Arabia for the Janazah.
A video shared online showed Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola seated together in Madinah ahead of the rites.
Dantata was widely respected for his contributions to commerce and charity.
