Stephen Nana, popularly known as Stevenator, has shed light on his decision to step down as manager to Afrobeats star Asake.
Speaking in a viral interview, Stevenator, who managed the artist from 2022 to 2024, explained that Asake’s meteoric rise left little room for him to grow into the role. “He became too big for me to manage,” he said.
He credited YBNL boss Olamide for giving him the opportunity, despite his lack of prior experience in music management.

Stevenator cited the toll on his personal life as a major factor. With back-to-back tours and months on the road, he said he struggled to balance work and fatherhood.
He confessed to being almost a stranger to his son, adding that choosing family over fame was the right decision.
He now plans to focus on building a more stable home life.
