Burna Boy has become the African artiste with the highest number of entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, after reaching nine appearances on the ranking.
The Nigerian Grammy-winning singer, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, achieved the milestone with his latest entry, ‘Dai Dai’, the official song of the ongoing FIFA World Cup, recorded with Colombian singer Shakira.
The track debuted at number 75 on the Billboard Hot 100, moving Burna Boy ahead of fellow Nigerian artiste Tems, who previously shared the record with eight entries.
His Billboard appearances now span six consecutive years, from 2021 to 2026, with previous entries including ‘Last Last’, ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ and ‘We Pray’.
