The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the sum of N15.3 billion for the supply and installation of information and communication technology (ICT) devices for the 2023 population census.
Briefing the press yesterday at the end of the FEC meeting, Mallam Garba Shehu, presidential spokesperson, said the council approved a N10.9 billion contract for ICT components of the 2023 census
He also added that a N4.4 billion contract was approved for the development of mobile device management solutions to be used for the census.
Recall that the Federal Government recently announced that the population and housing census will commence on May 3.
