Former 2023 ADC presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, has launched a blistering attack on members of the newly formed opposition coalition, branding them “enemies of Nigeria” bent on dragging the country backwards.
In a televised interview monitored by Radio Now, Mr Kachikwu criticised the alliance—which recently adopted the ADC as its platform for the 2027 elections—as a gathering of recycled politicians.

He dismissed the coalition as a cabal of “former” leaders—ex-vice presidents, ex-governors, ex-ministers—accusing them of failing Nigeria over the last four decades.
Kachikwu lamented the absence of young people in the group, describing it as dominated by elderly figures with no new ideas.
Calling them ‘political jobbers,’ he said they offer no real opposition, only self-interest. According to him,’they lit the fire and now pretend to be the fire brigade.’
