Edo Assembly Commission Withdraws 324 Employment Letters

The Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission has withdrawn 324 employment letters earlier issued to new recruits.
In a statement released in Benin, the Commission described the appointments as unauthorized and illegal. It added that the letters were therefore null and void, and apologised to all affected individuals.

Meanwhile, the Edo State House of Assembly has summoned the member representing Egor Constituency, Natasha Irobosa, over what lawmakers described as conduct capable of embarrassing the House.Speaker Blessing Agbebaku said the lawmaker must appear before the Committee on Ethics and Privileges within one week to explain her recent actions circulating online.
The committee is expected to submit its report in two weeks.
