Nollywood actress and filmmaker Eniola Ajao has broken her silence on claims linking her to the arrest of controversial crossdresser Bobrisky by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The allegations surfaced after Bobrisky, who was named ‘Best Dressed Female’ at Ajao’s film premiere in March 2024, was subsequently detained and sentenced to six months in prison for spraying naira notes—an offence under Nigerian law.

Following his release, Bobrisky suggested on social media that the award and the event played a role in his arrest.
However, in a recent YouTube interview, Ajao firmly denied any involvement. She dismissed the accusations, saying the arrest stemmed from a broader pattern of alleged infractions, and added that her movie premiere may have been exploited as a trap.
The actress maintained that she had no part in the legal proceedings and expressed surprise at being drawn into the controversy.
