Israel’s attacks in Gaza will continue for many more months, according to General Herzi Halevi, Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces.
He said the IDF will employ different methods to maintain what he called its achievements, for a long time.
Promising to reach Hamas’ leadership, whether it takes a week or it takes months, he said there are no magic solutions or short cuts in dismantling a terrorist organisation, only determined and persistent fighting.

Israel says it struck more than 100 targets from Jabaliya in northern Gaza to Rafah in the south yesterday, and Gaza’s health ministry says 20,915 Palestinians have been killed in more than 11 weeks of fighting. About 1.9 million have been internally displaced by Israeli bombardments since then, the UN says.
The war began on 7 October after Hamas led a wave of deadly attacks on communities inside Israel, killing over 1,200 people and taking about 240 people as hostages.
