A faction of Nigeria’s Labour Party loyal to Julius Abure has given Mr. Peter Obi 48 hours to resign from the party over his growing ties with an opposition coalition led by former Senate President David Mark.
Spokesman Obiora Ifoh accused coalition members—operating under the African Democratic Congress—of previously mismanaging the country and labelled them ‘desperate power seekers.’

He warned that the Labour Party would not permit Obi’s continued association with the group while remaining within its ranks, calling the alliance incompatible with the party’s vision for a new Nigeria.
