Lagos socialite Gail Fajembola has filed a fundamental rights suit at the Federal High Court in Lagos, seeking an injunction against police harassment over a property dispute in Banana Island.
In the action, filed through her lawyer, Ms. Fajembola is asking the court to restrain Olutoy Estate Development & Services Ltd, the Inspector General of Police, and four others from arresting or intimidating her in connection with a flat she lawfully leased to a corporate tenant.

She argues that the police are being misused to enforce a private eviction following the breakdown of a personal relationship with businessman Tunde Ayeni.
The suit, backed by a 10-paragraph affidavit, claims the police overstepped their legal boundaries.
Ms. Fajembola is demanding ₦50 million in damages and a perpetual injunction.
She denies media reports of arrest and insists the lease was done with Mr. Ayeni’s full consent.
