Mr. Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), says the audio call featuring him and Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Winners Chapel, is fake.
Speaking through his twitter handle, he says that at no time did he ever say, think, or even imply that the 2023 election is, or was a religious war.
He also adds that he has repeatedly stated that no one should vote for him based on Tribe or Religion.
Mr. Obi says his legal team have been instructed to take the matter up with the online publication which released the audio some days ago.
He says the audio is part of diversionary tactics employed to keep public focus away from what he calls a “litany of challenges” Nigeria currently faces.
