The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure will host the final pitching exercise of its Innovation Assessment and Awards Programme on August 5 and 6 in Abuja.
The event will bring together the top 10 finalists from both the intra-agency and inter-agency categories to present homegrown innovations before a panel of experts.
NASENI said the competition attracted 180 entries from its development institutes and 81 submissions from federal ministries, departments and agencies. Winners will receive innovation commercialisation support grants to help move promising ideas from development to market.
The agency says the initiative is aimed at promoting indigenous technology, encouraging collaboration across government institutions and supporting solutions that can drive industrialisation, economic growth and national development through locally developed innovations and practical research.
