The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC Ltd., has raised alarm over an increase in fraudulent schemes involving individuals and groups posing as company representatives.

In a notice signed by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Olufemi Soneye, the company urged both local and foreign stakeholders to exercise caution, particularly investors being asked to pay fees in exchange for meetings with NNPC executives.
