The Osun State Police Command has summoned Senator Francis Fadahunsi over a viral video in which he allegedly directed APC supporters to kill members of the rival Accord Party.
The remarks came during a protest in Ilesa over previous killings of APC members, a day after three people died in a shooting in the area.
In a letter dated August 11, police ordered Fadahunsi to report to the State CID in Osogbo on Wednesday at 11 am to clarify the statements, calling them threatening and inciting.
The senator’s team says the comment was a political metaphor, misinterpreted amid rising tension before Saturday’s governorship election.
