Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has thrown his weight behind the 2025 All-Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, scheduled to take place in Lagos this November. The governor assured organisers of his administration’s unwavering support for the creative industry, describing it as a vital economic driver for the state.
During a courtesy visit by AFRIMA’s International Committee and African Union Commission representatives at Lagos House in Ikeja, the governor reaffirmed Lagos’ role as a cultural and creative hub.Â

He emphasised that the state would continue to provide a conducive environment for creatives to thrive across music, fashion and the broader arts ecosystem.
