The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project has asked President Bola Tinubu to order an investigation into an alleged ₦2.9 billion missing from the Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd and the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority. The group made the call in a letter dated 11 April 2026.
SERAP urged the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, alongside the agencies’ management, to account for the funds. It also called on the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, and anti-corruption agencies to investigate and recover any diverted money.
The organisation said the allegations were based on findings from an Auditor-General’s report published on 9 September 2025, which raised concerns over unauthorised investments, unremitted revenues, and payments without due process in both agencies.
