At least 30 people, including eight children, have been killed in a suspected terrorist attack in Naridon Village in Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
Village secretary Dogon Rana said attackers stormed the community in the early hours of Monday, shooting indiscriminately and burning homes, including his own. One resident reportedly lost five children in the attack while a sixth remains critically injured. Rana blamed the high toll on the absence of a motorable access road, which delayed emergency response.
A separate anonymous resident alleged 22 members of one family alone were killed, and that the attack lasted three hours without security intervention, despite nearby military presence.
