Sporting Lagos have signed midfielder Valentine Ugwu from Abia Warriors ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The club announced the signing on Friday, with Ugwu expected to add strength to the midfield as Sporting Lagos prepares for their return to the top flight after spending the past few seasons in the Nigeria National League.
The midfielder scored one goal in 14 league appearances for Abia Warriors during the 2025/26 NPFL campaign.
Sporting Lagos are expected to make further additions to their squad as preparations continue for the new Nigeria Premier Football League season.
