UN Says No Aid Distributed Yet in Gaza Despite Border Crossings

The United Nations has confirmed that no humanitarian aid has been distributed in Gaza, despite the arrival of 93 aid trucks following an 11-week Israeli blockade.

According to Israeli authorities, the convoys—carrying flour, baby formula, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals—crossed into Gaza via the Kerem Shalom crossing on Tuesday.

However, UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said staff were denied access to collect the supplies, despite waiting for hours. The aid remains undelivered.

Israel had agreed on Sunday to permit limited food aid into Gaza, where famine warnings have been escalating.

Meanwhile Gaza’s Civil Defence agency reported that 15 people, including a child, were killed in Israeli air strikes since midnight.

Humanitarian agencies continue to call for safe, sustained access to prevent further deterioration in conditions already described as catastrophic.
