The United States has revoked entry visas for members of British punk-rap duo Bob Vylan after they led a chant calling for death to the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF, during their Glastonbury set.

The London-based group, known for their politically charged lyrics tackling racism and inequality, had been scheduled to perform in the US later this year, including a return to Coachella.

The chant sparked swift backlash. Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the act as ‘appalling hate speech,’ while the BBC apologised for failing to cut the livestream.
The incident follows earlier controversy involving Belfast hip-hop act Kneecap, also criticised for anti-Israel comments.
Washington, under President Trump’s administration, has taken a firm line on visa bans linked to anti-Israel activism.
