Governor Okpebholo Convenes Security Meeting with Edo North Stakeholders

Amid growing security concerns, Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has met with political, traditional, and religious leaders from Edo North in a bid to strengthen security across the state. The three-hour closed-door meeting held in Iyamho, the hometown of Senator Adams Oshiomhole, brought together key stakeholders.

Speaking after the meeting, Governor Okpebholo assured residents that his administration would not allow criminal elements to destabilise the state. He pledged to implement the recommendations from the session to boost safety in all communities.

Former governor and Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, commended the initiative as unprecedented and praised the governor’s direct approach. He noted that Okpebholo had already provided vehicles and motorcycles to enhance the capacity of security agencies

Religious and traditional leaders, including Bishop Gabriel Dunia of the Auchi Catholic Diocese and Mallam Ali Suleiman from Etsako-East, also pledged their support. The meeting drew participation from top political figures, former deputy governors, and ministers from across Edo State.
