The Oyo State Government has demolished a three-bedroom bungalow in Ibadan, allegedly used by kidnappers to hold Olaide John-Paul, the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her twin sons.
The building, located in the Lako Community along the Aiyegun-Anaye Road area of Ibadan, was pulled down on Monday, days after the victims regained their freedom.
John-Paul and her sons were abducted by armed men on June 3 while she was taking the children to school and were rescued on Saturday after three days in captivity.
Police say four suspected members of the kidnapping gang have been arrested, while two others were killed during rescue operations. Investigators say the suspects carried out weeks of surveillance on the family before the abduction.
