Abia Angels have defeated Rivers Angels 1–0 in their Nigeria Women Football League Super Six playoff matchday two encounter in Port Harcourt.
Winner David scored the decisive goal four minutes before the half-hour mark with a header to give the debutants all three points.
Abia Angels, who held Bayelsa Queens to a 1–1 draw in their opening game, now have four points from two matches and have strengthened their title challenge.
Rivers Angels remain on three points from two matches after the narrow defeat.
