The All Progressives Congress says it is studying the results of Saturday’s Osun governorship election before deciding whether to challenge Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election in court. Adeleke, of the Accord Party, polled 511,067 votes to defeat APC’s Bola Oyebamiji, who scored 444,815 votes, a margin of over 66,000.
In a statement from its Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, the party said it was reviewing results from all 332 wards and consulting its legal team, noting that an election isn’t concluded until every constitutional avenue, from the tribunal to the Supreme Court, has been explored under the Electoral Act 2026.
The party commended its members’ loyalty and appealed to the police to protect supporters it says are being harassed by the ruling party, while urging its base to remain calm and avoid provocation.
