At Least 43 Palestinians Killed in Gaza Strikes as Aid Centres Reopen

At least 43 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza on Thursday, according to medical sources cited by Al Jazeera.

Among the victims were seven people, including four journalists, killed in an Israeli drone attack on Al Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City. Gaza’s Government Media Office said the deaths raised the total number of journalists killed in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 2023 to 224.

Meanwhile, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a group backed by the US and Israel, said it would reopen two aid distribution centres in Rafah following a day-long closure for maintenance.

The move comes amid continued violence, with Israeli forces repeatedly opening fire on Palestinians seeking aid at distribution sites, killing dozens and wounding scores, according to Gaza health authorities.
