Suspected kidnappers have abducted a Catholic seminarian and worshippers during a Sunday service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Inoyi, Affa, Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Witnesses said the attackers stormed the church as parishioners gathered for Mass, causing panic as worshippers fled for safety. Reports indicate one of the victims escaped shortly after the abduction, while the seminarian and two other worshippers remain in captivity.
The Enugu State Police Command said security agencies have launched a coordinated operation to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators. Authorities appealed to residents to remain calm and provide credible information to support ongoing investigations.
