In Senegal, Violent Clashes Leave Scores Dead in the Wake of Ousmane Sonko’s Conviction

The scenes in Dakar, Senegal, have been chaotic since opposition politician Ousman Sonko was found guilty of corrupting a person younger than 21. Police have clashed with his supporters and this has led to the death of some of them.
