Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face either Sudan or Comoros in the second round of the qualification race for the 2028 Summer Olympics. The fixture was confirmed following the official draw held on Wednesday in Cairo.
The draw ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football, which outlined Africa’s pathway to the games. Nigeria, ranked among the continent’s top teams, received a bye into the second round, allowing them to skip the opening stage of the qualifiers.
The Super Falcons will meet the winner of the first round tie between Sudan and Comoros, with those matches scheduled for early June. Nigeria’s qualification campaign is expected to begin in October, marking the start of a demanding knockout journey toward Olympic qualification.
