Ogun APC Unveils Chartered Accountant Kudirat Adegunwa Balogun as Deputy Governorship Candidate for 2027 Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has unveiled Kudirat Adegunwa Balogun, a 51-year-old chartered accountant, as its deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 election. The 51-year-old is set to serve as running mate to the party’s governorship candidate, Solomon Adeola. 

According to a statement issued by Emmanuel Ojo, senior special assistant on new media to the governor, Balogun is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a distinguished finance professional and business leader with over 30 years of experience in finance, corporate governance, manufacturing, business transformation, and strategic leadership.

Governor Dapo Abiodun presented Adegunwa Balogun in Abeokuta, the state capital, on Sunday at the APC strategic caucus meeting, stating that the decision was reached after extensive consultations with leaders of the party across the state. 

The unveiling of Adegunwa Balogun completes the APC gubernatorial ticket for the 2027 election in Ogun State, ahead of the deadline for a full submission of names of candidates for elective positions.
