Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has announced a ban on night grazing and placed restrictions on motorcycle use across the state in response to a wave of deadly attacks.
In a statewide broadcast today, Governor Mutfwang said the violence is no longer about farmer-herder clashes, but a systematic campaign of terror aimed at displacing communities from their ancestral lands.
He ordered an immediate ban on grazing cattle at night and prohibited the transportation of livestock by vehicles after 7pm. Motorcycle operations are now restricted from 7pm to 6am until further notice.

The measures follow Sunday night’s attack in Kimakpa village, Bassa LGA, where at least 50 people were killed.
Governor Mutfwang urged citizens to support security agencies and called on local vigilante groups to intensify night patrols, saying the state must unite to confront what he described as a premeditated threat backed by external sponsors.
