Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to people-centred governance, placing particular emphasis on tackling poverty as the root cause of the state’s challenges.
Speaking during Pentecost Sunday at St. Luke’s Cathedral in Jos, the governor acknowledged ongoing security issues but described them as distractions from the primary issue of widespread poverty.

Governor Mutfwang stressed a multi-faceted approach to development, highlighting agriculture as a vital sector capable of transforming livelihoods and lifting communities out of poverty.
The governor also announced plans to return missionary schools to their original owners, signalling a renewed focus on education.
Praising academic excellence in the state, he called on citizens to collaborate with the government to address challenges and drive Plateau forward.
