Rasheedat Ajibade scored twice as Nigeria’s Super Falcons defeated Cameroon 2-0 in a pre-Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, international friendly on Tuesday in Abeokuta.
Captaining the side, the Atletico Madrid midfielder converted a 26th-minute penalty before doubling the lead just before half-time, finishing off a well-worked move assisted by Omorinsola Babajide.
Despite heavy rain and a slippery pitch at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Nigeria dominated early proceedings, with Ifeoma Onumonu and Toni Payne pulling the strings.

Head coach Justin Madugu made several second-half changes, introducing Francisca Ordega, Christy Ucheibe, and Emem Essien, while Cameroon improved but posed little threat.
Babajide impressed before limping off, while Jennifer Echegini and Payne controlled the midfield.
The result marked Nigeria’s 15th win in 21 encounters with the Indomitable Lionesses and offered renewed optimism as the team builds momentum ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
