The All Progressives Congress has fixed May 15 and 16, 2026, for its presidential primary ahead of the 2027 general elections. The party also says expression of interest and nomination forms for the presidency will cost a combined 100 million naira.
In a timetable released by its National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, the APC says the sale of forms will run from April 25 to May 2, with submission closing on May 4. Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 6 to 8, while appeals will hold on May 12 and 13.
The party says primaries for other offices will follow, including the House of Representatives on May 18, the Senate on May 20, state assemblies on May 21, and governorship contests on May 23.

It adds that the process is in line with the Electoral Act 2026 and guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, with discounts offered to female, youth and physically challenged aspirants.
