MTN Nigeria has reported a strong financial performance for the first half of 2026, posting revenue of ₦2.99 trillion, a 25.9 per cent increase from the same period last year.
The telecommunications company recorded a profit before tax of ₦1.09 trillion, up 75.4 per cent, while profit after tax rose 70.6 per cent to ₦707.5 billion. The board approved an interim dividend of ₦26 per share, payable on September 7 to shareholders on the register as of August 20.
MTN attributed the results to strong demand for data services, improved operating efficiency and more favourable foreign exchange conditions. Data revenue climbed 38.4 per cent to ₦1.70 trillion, while the company’s subscriber base grew to 92.2 million.
MTN said it remains focused on expanding broadband, strengthening fintech services and sustaining long-term growth.
